WOWWW!!! HELLO ROME!!!

As a representative of UNHCR, I have seen first hand why is so important we are all here today. In the last decade, two million children were killed as a result of conflicts, six million were injured and twelve million have become homeless. We Are The Future...I know, I know...it's such a happy night, it's hard to hear this thing, isn't it...but listen listen...We Are The Future tonight shines a beacon of light into the darkness, it has been created to work to ensure the children all over the world are not ignored or forgotten,they've written a beautiful simple 8-point charter...hello...which I'd like to read for you, allright?...
'Due to their age and vulnerability children are entitled to receive special protection, with regard to the fundamental rights, and according for international treaties and the rights of the child the social economic and cultural rights of children must all be granted...
I love you too, listen this is for the children and we must help them, guarantee their rights, right? And the first is the principle of equality and non-discrimination, second is freedom of expression, third the right of health care and food security. The right of education, yeah, and human development, the right to play and partecipate in cultural activities and in the arts, the right for peace and the right to a childhood. The safe goal of the rights of the children in a community We Are The Future program will work to ensure that the tangible asset environment for the implementing of it's basic rights...should I skip all this? No...listen, We Are The Future is amazing, and they are working to make sure that all of the children rights are protected, every day.
Also, this is so important, so please listen...every day, one billion people lack access to clean drinking water, and this man this photographer Michael Comte has been working for 25 years to figure out a solution, and he has, something that is revolutionary and simple, it is a bottle, I hope we've a picture but maybe they don't, it's so this, and it's half painted black and you put it...and you put in the sun, you put internally water you put in the sun, and six hours later it's clean, and that would change the world, and it's amazing and all the proceeds will go to We Are The Future.
So now...now it is my great honour to introduce the founders and the prime movers of We Are The Future, Mr. Uri Savir an Israeli and his good friend Mr. Hani Masri a Palestinian and very good friend the Mayor of Rome Mr. Walter Veltroni and another friend James Wolfensohn and everybody's good friend Mr. Quincy Jones...

WV Thank you...thank you all for being here tonight, thank you...for demonstrating our city's heart again. This night isn't just a big music show or a big celebration of staying together, this night is a great celebration of peace. The peace we hope and the peace we want, because here there are people that don't want to see anymore beheadings and people on a leash. They want peace and the end of terrorism. I'd like to say that nothing is better in this amazing night we had with Quincy...I think the most beautiful sign in this evening will be what a Mayor of an Israeli city and the Mayor of a Palestinian city will give us...they came several times in Rome, they came to discuss and work together and they are Israelis and Palestinians and we want they could live in a recognized country, Palestine, with security for the nation of Israel. The hands they are taking are the hands of peace, the hands of peoples living together, the hands of fight against terrorism.

GS We are still in the interview area, and we are with Angelina Jolie! Hi Angelina how're you doing?
AJ I'm very good thank you, I'm so stunned after being on that stage.
GS Yeah, how was out there, all the crowd in front of you...
AJ Amazing! Makes me wanna move here! Makes me wanna move here! And everybody was so loving and wild and free and there's so much energy yeah in the air.
GS So thank you very much for coming, and you've done a very touching and emotional speech, a very strong speech on stage, this may be...comes from your deep committment to children, we know that you also support UNICEF and UNESCO
AJ UNHCR, they all work togeher yeah
GS And...how is for you...to be part of the Quincy Jones team?
AJ Oh, it's a honour, he's been dedicating himself to these issues before a lot of us were even born he's been a champion for for all of this issues, and and he's just a great guy, and you can trust him and you know his heart is in the right place and he's gotten this energy, look...he can bring this all together he did this tonight, we're all here tonight because of...of him, he had an idea, here we are so...
GS did you two meet, I mean how did you get involved into peace events?
AJ Aha, I met Michael Comte and he introduced us and just (they) said that we had a lot in common and...when is right and I read about this evening and I've just been so excited to be a part of it...
GS We read on the papers that you devolve part of your salary to charity project, is that right?
AJ Yes, and I think I make...I make a silly amount of money to... to do what I love for living so I think it wouldn't be... it wouldn't be right not to... not to know that a large portion of it is going to...to things that people and countries that really need help so...it' easy to do.
GS Is there something you would like people to remember in particular or to bring home from this experience?
AJ I just...I just how..how great it feels to do something for others. How much fun we're all having tonight with the fact of doing something asking the benefit of these children and...and really for our kids and for the future of the world it can be...it can be this exciting and it is something to fight for.
GS I know that you have a new tattoo, a very special tattoo that we want to show all the world can you, just...
AJ It's appropriate for tonight!
GS It says 'know your rights' why did you do that?
AJ Because I think it is something, it is the most important thing for all of us to know what we have the right to do and say and what other people have the right to...we can fight for other people's rights if we know what they are and we understand our laws and...and I think is a lot to... I think this used to be attaining more peace with this very passive thing and maybe your parents they said that flowers and... and know how it's... it's fight we can be aggressive we can fight for and and it's... and we stay united and I'd say it's an exciting thing it's not the side that we used to have of, you know, it's, it's...it's a great, a great new fight, and I, and I'm into it so.
